Introduction

The fundamental purpose of the Medical Device Code of Ethical Marketing and Business Practice is to promote and encourage ethical principles and practices in the business and marketing interactions between Medical Device Companies, their representatives and their Customers. In support of these values, the underpinning principle of the Code is that Medical Device Companies and/or their representatives will not offer any inappropriate inducement to any Healthcare Professional or other customer in order to sell, lease, recommend or arrange for the sale or lease of their products.

Who Should Enrol

SAMED Members, Non SAMED Members who wish to be signatories to the Code, Medical Device Representatives and Healthcare Professionals

Assessment

Participants will be assessed by means of a multiple-choice questionnaire.

Accreditation

Only accredited for Healthcare Professionals according to HCPSA's Medical and Dental Board Guidelines for Healthcare Professionals for 2 Ethical CEU's on Level 2.

Certification

To qualify for the certificate of completion for this short course, participants should successfully complete the assessment process

Course Fee

First 3 attempts at doing the certification test will be free, thereafter R 504.39 (incl. VAT) per attempt will be charged.
