MPC at SAOA - Sun City

The 5^th of September marked the start of the 57^th annual Orthopaedic Association congress at Sun City. The event was held from the 5^th to the 8^th of September and was attended by over 300 delegates. Léana Fourie, CEO of the Orthopaedic Association, assisted by ICE Solution, managed the event and ensured that delegates reached all the activities with as little stress as possible.

Delegates were spoiled by exhibitions from Macromed, Smith & Nephew, Fluorovision ... as well as Ethical discussions by Dr R.N Dunn, Dr K. Smit and Dr A Vlok.

The event also saw the launch of the Medical Practice Consulting electronic CPD systems for all Orthopaedic Association members. All members received a CPD attendance card, courtesy of Macromed, which was swiped to register attendance of the event as well as related CPD accredited activities. The MPC CPD system automatically consolidated the attendance of the members for the event and issued CPD attendance certificates upon completion.

SAOA members may use their CPD attendance cards at all future SAOA events as well as other physical CPD events hosted by services providers that have obtained the required scanning equipment.
